Foxborough Obituary: Mary Hayes Colaneri

Mary Hayes Colaneri, age 84, died peacefully on Sept. 12, 2012 at Norwood Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Myrtle (Pillsbury) Hayes.

Colaneri was born in Calais, Maine on April 28, 1928. She and her husband, John, were married in on April 30, 1971. She had been a resident of Foxborough for the past 15 years.

Colaneri was a retired administrative secretary for the Sharon Recreation Department. Her interests included tennis, playing bridge, watching the Boston Celtics and Red Sox, reading suspense novels, visits to Blue Hill, Maine and fly fishing for salmon. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Beloved wife of John D. Colaneri. Loving mother of Gordon Andrew Gunniss and his wife Wanda of Connecticut, Stephanie Quintal and her husband Carl of Sharon, Amanda S. Gunniss and her husband Domenic of Sharon, Peter Colaneri of Foxborough and Christopher Colaneri and his wife Maureen of Texas. Devoted grandmother of Dylan Capossela, Samantha and Madeline Quintal and Ian and Hilary Gunniss.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 at 12 PM at the First Congregational Church of Sharon, 29 North Main St., Sharon.
