FOXBOROUGH, MA — Foxborough's positive coronavirus test rate dropped below 3 percent for the first time in months, according to the latest town-by-town report released Thursday. The town's positive test rate over the last two weeks was 2.69 percent, keeping it firmly in the moderate-risk, or yellow, category. There were 54 cases in the last two weeks. Since the start of the pandemic, Foxborough has seen 1,120 COVID-19 cases. &gt;&gt;<a href="https://patch.com/massachusetts/across-ma/ma-town-town-coronavirus-stats-14-high-risk-communities" target="_blank">MA Town-By-Town Coronavirus Stats: 14 High-Risk Communities</a> Massachusetts labeled just 14 communities as high risk for the coronavirus Thursday in the latest town-by-town report from the Department of Public Health. The seven-day average positive test rate for the state fell slightly to 1.72 percent, the lowest level since October. Statewide case counts, hospitalizations and deaths also all fell. Statewide, a total of 1,589 new cases and 42 deaths were reported Thursday.
