Patriots To Host 1st Gillette Stadium Pet Adoption Event This Week
New England's training camp kicks off this week with three local animal shelters in attendance for an adoption event.
FOXBOROUGH, MA — This week, fans will line up to greet New England Patriots players like Drake Maye and Christian Gonzalez on the first day of the 2025-2026 NFL Training Camp.
But what some fans may also be lining up to do is adopt a dog.
On Wednesday, the first day of public practices for this year's training camp, the Animal Rescue League of Boston, Potter League for Animals and the Berkshire Humane Society will be on site to give people the chance to adopt a pet.

About 20-25 dogs will be on-site for the first-ever pet adoption event at Gillette Stadium.
Training camp opens to the public at 9 a.m., and those interested can meet dogs and adopt from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The adoption area will be just after the bathrooms, following the entrance closest to the stadium, officials said.

The team has released the schedule for public practices, which begin on Wednesday. Players will report to camp on Tuesday.
New England will have its first preseason game on Aug. 8 against the Washington Commanders.
