Pedestrian Identified In Fatal Foxborough Crash

A man was killed at the intersection of Cocasset and Oak Streets in Foxborough during a Saturday crash. An investigation is ongoing.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The Norfolk County District Attorney's Office has identified the pedestrian killed in a crash at a Foxborough intersection over the weekend.

Michael Shaw, 57, of Foxborough, was jogging when he was struck by a car near the intersection of Cocasset and Oak Streets on Saturday around 10:45 a.m., the DA's Office and Foxborough police said.

Shaw was transported by Foxborough Fire to a Boston-area trauma center, but police later learned that he died from his injuries.

The operator of the vehicle, a 35-year-old Foxborough resident, remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

The crash remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction unit, Foxborough Detectives and the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.
