The main Framingham Post Office, on Route 30, is only open until 6 p.m. today. If you need to mail a return - the only post office open until midnight is in Boston.
Town of Framingham employees and members of the community are encouraged to take a moment of silence at 2:49 p.m. to honor and remember all those affected by the tragic events of the 2013 Boston Marathon.

4. Come hear storyteller Libby Franck tonight at the main Framingham Library. She will present My Mother Gave Me Riches at 7 p.m.
Franck celebrates libraries through the sharing of her mother’s life story. Libby’s mother, Elisabeth Hamilton Friermood, was a librarian, storyteller and the author of 18 historical novels for teen girls. When Elisabeth was a little girl, her mother took her to their town’s new Carnegie Library every week, and told her “a body’s never poor who lives within walking distance of the public library.” She weaves the back story of Elizabeth’s novels with some of her own stories, and along the way pays tribute to her mother, the importance of libraries, and the wonder of storytelling.
