• Framingham MA City Council's new heads 'excited' to get started (metrowestdailynews.com) — Framingham’s City Council has chosen At-Large Councilors George King and Janet Leombruno as its new chair and vice chair, returning both to roles they’ve previously held. They say they’re focused on keeping meetings organized, working collaboratively with colleagues and the mayor, and guiding the council’s work over the next two years.
   

• Changes to Scheduled Hearings in Eastern and Central Massachusetts (patch.com) — If you live in the area served by the Framingham Social Security office and need a hearing, your case will now be handled by the Lawrence Office of Hearings Operations instead of Boston. The change, which also affects several nearby cities, is meant to reduce backlogs and wait times, and residents can still choose from in-person, phone, or video hearing options.
   

• RIP: Who we mourned in MetroWest, Greater Milford in 2025 (milforddailynews.com) — Framingham is heavily represented in this year-end remembrance, with residents, educators, police officers, civic leaders and small-business owners who shaped local schools, neighborhoods and institutions among those honored. The piece highlights how these neighbors served in City Hall, public safety, churches, libraries, salons and hospitals across MetroWest. It’s a thoughtful way to recognize community members we lost in 2025.
