5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: August 11
Auburn Street detour today and Special School Committee meeting tonight.

1. Today, due to the installation of drain line and structures, Auburn Street will be impassable and it will be necessary to close the road about a 100 feet east of Edgell Road. Traffic will be detoured from the Edgell Road/Auburn Street intersection to Central Street to Kellogg Street to Prospect Street to Worcester Road and then onto Beulah Street. Click here for a map.
2. The Framingham School Committee will hold a special meeting tonight. First there will be a meeting closed to the public, and then at 7 p.m. the Committee is expected to hold a public meeting. There are just two items on the agenda.
On the agenda is to publicly vote to approve a contract for the custodial and maintenance workers of the public school district. The contract terms will not be made public until that meet but the contract is supposed to be retroactive to July 1, 2015 and last through June 30, 2018.

Also on the agenda is to make a public vote on an administration supervision and evaluation tool. That item is also being discussed behind closed doors that night.
