5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: August 13

The Town of Framingham's trio of public beaches closes for the season today.

2. Framingham History Center will host a performance of Peter Rabbit by the Pumpernickel Puppets today. The free show is at 10:30 a.m. at Edgell Memorial Library.

3. The Framingham Farmers’ Market is open today from noon to 5:30 p.m. on the Framingham Centre Common.

4. Today is the final day to enjoy the Town of Framingham’s three public beaches. Framingham Parks & Recreation will close Lake Waushakum, Saxonville Beach, and Learneds Pond today at 7 p.m. for the season.


5. The Framingham Skate Park Advisory Committee is meetings at the Framingham Parks & Recreation office at Bowditch Field tonight at 7. On the agenda is a discussion of possible sites and how to evaluate them for the best location.
