5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: August 31

Keefe Technical, MetroWest Jewish Day School and Framingham preschoolers start their school year today.

1. Keefe Technical students head back to school for the new year today. Freshman had an orientation last week.

2. Preschoolers in the Framingham Public School district start their school career today, as well. Framingham Public School students in grades K-12 returned to class last week.

3. Today is also the first day of school for students attending the MetroWest Jewish Day School in Framingham. The school, for students through grade 8, also has a new home at 50 Pamela Road.

4. Framingham Youth Football and cheerleading kicked off its season yesterday on the road.

5. The South Middlesex Regional Vocational Technical School District School Committee will meet tonight at Keefe Technical School in Framingham at 7 p.m. in room 226. Prior to the meeting there is a reception for new staff.
