5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: September 25
Golden Tones performance at Amazing Arts Appetizers program and Framingham PAL Boxing hosting Annual Night at the Fights today.
1. The Golden Tones will perform at Amazing Things Arts Center this morning at 10:30. The show is the kick off of the downtown venue’s new Amazing Arts Appetizers program. Admission is $5 and doors open at 9:30 a.m.
2. The Framingham Police Athletic League (PAL) boxing program will hold its Annual Night at The Fights tonight at 7:30 at St Tarcisius Parish Center on Route 135. Admission is $10. Tickets will be sold at the door.
3. The Massachusetts Senate Thursday voted in favor of Senate Bill 2014, An Act relative to motor vehicle license suspension, Sen, Karen E. Spilka, a Democrat from Ashland, who represents Framingham announced.

This bill repeals the current law that subjects individuals convicted of a non-violent drug offense to an automatic license suspension for up to five years and a license reinstatement fee of $500, even if the offense does not involve motor vehicles in any way. Thirty-four states, including every other New England state, have already taken action to repeal similar laws. Click here to read more.
