5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: September 29
Framingham's Town Historian Fred Wallace will present Preserving Framingham's Historic Heritage – the Big Picture tonight.

1. Framingham’s Town Historian Fred Wallace will present Preserving Framingham’s Historic Heritage – the Big Picture tonight at 7 at the main Framingham Library. During the free talk, Wallace will recount some of the many highlights of Framingham’s early history, which reveal the important role that we played in the birth of our nation. The talk includes images of some of our existing 17th and 18th century structures and reveals how towns in Massachusetts deal with the issue of historic preservation.
2. Tonight, Town Moderator Teri Banerjee will host a Town Meeting orientation session with special presentations by Chief Financial Officer Mary Ellen Kelly and Community and Economic Development Director Arthur Robert at 7:30 in the Ablondi Room of the Memorial Building.

4. Framingham School Committee will hold a workshop meeting at the Perini Building. On the agenda is a discussion of overarching goals, Vision 2020, and the superintendent’s goals for the 2015-16 school year. Meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. in the board room.
5. Today, Sept. 29 is National Coffee Day. To celebrate, several national chains and local coffee shops are offering free coffee.
