Adult ESL Director To Take Over Parent Information Center
The Director of the Framingham Adult English as a Second Language PLUSprogram will steer the Department of Family and Community Engagement.

“Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Stacy L. Scott, is leaning on an experienced Framingham Public Schools leader to steer the Department of Family and Community Engagement recently vacated by Magaly Sanchez,” announced a press release this morning, Sept 1.
Christine Tibor, Director of the Framingham Adult English as a Second Language PLUSprogram, will assume responsibility of Department of Family and Community Engagement early next week, serving as Executive Director for both departments, announced Scott.
Tibor’s exceptional leadership, managerial and financial skills, as well as, being a proven educator dedicated to serving the community, made her an ideal choice, stated the press release.

From its inception in 1984, Tibor directs the Framingham Adult English as a Second Language PLUSprogram program that has grown from 30 students to more than 640 students each semester over the past 31 years.
Providing free English language instruction and life skills training to more than 5,000 immigrants in the Framingham area and helping hundreds of students work towards their High School Equivalency while balancing funding from State and Federal grants, private and community donations, and fundraising has been a labor of love for her.

Starting her career in Framingham as an elementary ESL teacher, Tibor is eagerly looking forward to using her expertise to continue to serve community members of all ages
