Assistant Principal Promoted at Dunning Elementary

Michele Schecter will lose the Assistant from her title started July 1.

The following is a press release from the Framingham Public Schools issued late Friday afternoon. It is published as received.

Dr. Scott is pleased to announce that Ms. Michele Schecter has accepted the position of principal at Dunning Elementary School effective July 1, 2015. Ms. Schecter was selected after an internal process and interview process.

“I am honored to continue to serve the Dunning community, students and staff in my new role as Principal,” commented Ms. Schecter. “I look forward to contributing to the great strides that Dunning will make in the future,” she concluded.

Ms. Schecter has been the Assistant Principal at the Charlotte A. Dunning Elementary School since August 19, 2013.

Previously, she was at Fuller Middle School for twelve years. During that time, she was a Speech Therapist for six years and a Special Education Teacher for six years.

Ms. Schecter’s Bachelor’s degree is from Suffolk University and her Master’s degree is from Worcester State College.

“I am fully confident that Ms. Schecter will be a strong academic leader of Dunning Elementary School challenging all staff and students to higher achievements,” remarked Dr. Stacy L. Scott, Superintendent of Schools. “Michele’s appointments first as Assistant Principal and then Principal is a prime example of succession planning within the Framingham Public Schools, “concluded Dr. Stacy L. Scott.
