• Framingham State Partners with UMass on New Pathway to Medical School (framinghamsource.com) — Framingham State University has launched a new partnership with UMass Chan Medical School that gives eligible FSU students a defined pathway toward medical school admission. The BaccMD program offers intensive advising, summer enrichment, MCAT prep, and clinical experiences, with the potential for provisional acceptance to UMass Chan—especially benefiting first-generation and economically disadvantaged Framingham State undergraduates.

• Westfield State men's basketball battles past Framingham in conference opener (masslive.com) — Framingham State athletes were in the spotlight as the women’s basketball team, led by standout center Faith Greene, dominated Westfield State 91–66 at the Framingham State Athletic and Recreation Center. The men’s team narrowly fell 67–62 on the road, while a Framingham native shined for Westfield, rounding out a busy MASCAC slate for local fans.

• HPD charges 19-year-old following animal cruelty investigation (hopkintonindependent.com) — A 19-year-old Plainville resident has been charged with animal cruelty and is scheduled to appear in Framingham District Court after Hopkinton police investigated an alleged attempt to set a cat on fire. The incident reportedly occurred on Elm Street in Hopkinton over the weekend, and the case remains under investigation. State law allows for significant prison time and fines if he is convicted.
