Belknap Pool Club Dedicates Bench To Former Member
The memorial bench was installed on September 1.
On Sept 1, Belknap Pool & Tennis Club dedicated a memorial bench to a former Dunning Elementary librarian, who was also a member of the Club for years.
Nancy (Fogel) Serkez, 55, of Framingham, died on Saturday May 31, 2014, after a battle with colon cancer.
“Nancy would have approved the location, which will always be in full sun,” wrote Jen Byram on the Belknap Pool & Tennis Club’s Facebook page.

She said “heartfelt thanks and appreciation” should go to “Metro West Monuments of Framingham, who was graciously willing to meet our limited budget. They were wonderful to deal with from start to finish, and made a beautiful bench in Nancy’s memory.”
Before she died, the Dunning PTO held a fundraiser for Serkez, who was beloved at Dunning.

She was also loved at Belknap too.
Opened in 1958, Belknap Pool & Tennis Club is a private club located in a secluded woodlands on Belknap Road in Framingham.
It is owned and maintained by its member families who elect a Board of Directors of the Framingham Swimming Pool Association to oversee the club’s operations.
The pool club operates from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
