Emergency Railroad Repairs To Close Section Of Route 9 In Framingham
CSX Transportation will close Route 9 in Framingham between Winter Street and Maynard Road this weekend. Here's what to know.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that CSX Transportation will be closing Route 9 in Framingham between Winter Street and Maynard Road to allow emergency repair work at the railroad track crossing to take place.
The work will take place on Saturday, November 9, starting at 8 p.m. and continue throughout the day on Sunday, November 10.

During the work, the traffic detours will be follows:
Westbound traffic on Route 9 will be directed to exit at the Edgell Street ramp and head west on Pleasant Street and use Temple Street to access Route 9 westbound.

Eastbound traffic will be directed off Route 9 at Temple Street and directed to follow the detour signage in place and use Salem End Road to access Route 9 eastbound.
Local travel will be permitted to the maximum extent possible, as there will be no passage on Route 9 eastbound and westbound between Winter Street and Maynard Road while work is underway.
Drivers traveling through the affected areas should seek alternative routes, expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
