Expect Delays of Water, Main, and Temple Streets This Week
Framingham DPW issued an alert for road construction project for the week of August 10.

Weather permitting, there are several road construction project on major roadways in Framingham this week. The projects are both the Town of Framingham and MassDOT.
Work continues on Temple Street and Salem End Road. At the beginning of the week, casting adjustments will be made in the roadway followed by finish paving on Thursday evening, August 13, 2015 from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. The project area is Temple Street south of Route 9 and on Salem End Road between the Reservoir Bridge and Winter Street. Expect significant delays during paving.
Water pipe work continues on Main Street this week. The contractor will install water services on Main Street between Walnut Street and Union Avenue. A detour will be in place Monday-Friday 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on this section of the roadway. Please seek alternate route. Expect delays.

Night work will continue on Main Street between Franklin and High streets Sunday-Thursday 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. One-way alternating traffic will be implemented on this section of the roadway. Police details will be on site to facilitate traffic. Expect moderate delays.
And on Wednesday Water Street is scheduled to be paved. Expect moderate delays.

Besides the three projects above, Framingham Department of Public Works issued the following construction alert:
- AUBURN STREET AREA: Drainage installation, fine grading of the roadway and curb work will begin. Expect delays.
- COBURN STREET AREA: The contractor will continue drain pipe and structure work on Cypress Street and Cedar Street and a temporary water by-pass will be set up on Cedar Street. Sidewalk excavation and curbing work will continue in the area as well. Expect delays.
- CONCORD STREET (Route 126) DOWNTOWN FRAMINGHAM RECONSTRUCTION: The MassDOT contractor will continue construction activities on Hollis Street, Concord Street and Irving Street. Expect moderate delays and on-street parking restrictions.
- DYER STREET: Open to local residents only during water main installation work.
- EVERSOURCE DOWNTOWN UTILITY PROJECT: The contractor will continue night work Monday through Friday evening, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on manhole installations and conduit work on Hollis Street and Waverly Street. Expect moderate delays.
- NICHOLAS ROAD: A Hot Mix Asphalt leveler course is scheduled for Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Expect moderate delays.
- OLD WORCESTER ROAD AREA: Work will include sidewalk restoration work, driveway aprons and ADA wheelchair ramps. Expect minimal delays.
- ROUTE 9 BRIDGE OVER FOSS RESERVOIR OUTLET: Construction continues on the middle section of the bridge. The westbound pedestrian sidewalk will remain closed. Expect moderate delays.
