Flooding in Framingham
Reports of almost 3 inches of rain fell Saturday night, including a report of 2 inches in one hour.

Fast-moving storms, with heavy downpours left many major roads in Framingham flooded on Saturday night.
Route 9 and Route 126 was closed in both directions on August 15, as was a section of Route 9 at Temple Street and parts of Route 135 closed last night, due to heavy rains.
One weather station in Framingham had a report of 2.01 inches of water an hour. Another weather station reported 2.81 inches of rain in 76 minutes and 2.94 inches of rain for Saturday, August 15. One weather station in neighboring Natick, which also experienced flooding on Route 9, has 3.38 inches of rain for Saturday.

There were multiple scanner reports of vehicles stuck in 4-5 feet of water at the intersection of Routes 9 and 126.
There were also multiple scanner reports of 4-5 vehicles stuck in feet of water on Route 135 in downtown Framingham.

Framingham Patch readers reported flooding on Kendall Street, Pearl Street, Bishop Street, Lawrence Street, Union Avenue, Thompson Street, Sader Street, and even sections of Route 30. Some of the streets were impassible.
Patch readers also reported multiple trees down all over town, including a large tree on Winthrop Street near Bethany Road.
There were multiple reports on Twitter that commuter rail trains on the Framingham/Worcester line were delayed due to flooding on the tracks in Framingham Saturday evening.
A flood warning was issued and extended until 1 a.m. Sunday by the National Weather Service.
