The day started off as a hot one but the breeze slowly started blowing on the football field, reminding football fans that the weather would soon be chilly.
The Flyers got on the board quickly with two early touchdowns including a run by Jacques Cazeau and added a third one on a 25-yard touchdown catch by Cody Coleman from Scott Beverley. Framingham’s defense was completely dominant during the first half, shutting out Newton and not allowing them to move the ball well. Timothy Sullivan and Jacques Cazeau particularly performed well for the Flyers, each making several tough and effective tackles.

Framingham led 18-0 at halftime.
Although they were up by three touchdowns, the Flyers didn’t show any signs of laziness to begin the second half. Coleman continued his stellar game and ran through the holes created by his offensive line on a drive that resulted in his own 30-yard touchdown run. Framingham then created a turnover on Newton’s next series of plays when several Framingham defenders including Connor Smith and Jackson Zanella helped force and recover a fumble. Later, Joseph Balboni intercepted a Newton pass when the Tiger quarterback was pressured by the Flyers. Joseph Balboni, Jacques Cazeau, and Marcus O’Brien also helped run the ball for Framingham as the 6th Graders got their 2nd win of the season, 25-0.
Next week, Framingham returns home to play the Wellesley Raiders.
