Barbara Epstein told Framingham Patch she loved it. It was the second year attending for her family.

“Perfect weather! Great music! Lots of fun food trucks! We tried Yummy-Teri and Batch Ice Cream!! Both were very good! Bowdich is a great venue for this event ...just a great day to be out with our family!”

There were about 2 dozen food vendors, including more than 15 food trucks.

One of the popular food trucks is based in Framingham - Foodie Cafe.

Kim Comatas said “Foodie Cafe Oy Vey sandwich” was her favorite. She said she loves that the ”proceeds go to feed the homeless.”

Andrea Levin Geller said the “sushi from Dragon Chef was amazing.” She also said she loved the grilled pretzels and her daughter loved the bigger kids area this year.

“This was my first year and I thought the event was outstanding,” said Patty Higgins, who also volunteered at the beer and wine tent, a new addition to MetroFest this year.

Joel Osborne told Framingham Patch, on or Facebook page, he had a great time. He said had the mac & cheese from Firefly’s and had a cupcake.

His one suggestion, “Smaller portions from the food trucks, costing less, so that you can eat from more trucks.”

Besides the food, there were vendors to shop at, community organization to learn about, and music.

At the Doctor’s Express booth, there was face painting and the Needham Bank booth had a caricature artist.

Jack’s Abby Brewing allowed adult guests to sample lagers and Fifth Avenue Liquors poured wine samples.

Palettes, a Natick business, allowed guests to paint canvases throughout the day to create a large mural celebrating the MetroWest region.
