"Arterial roads are designated with posted red and white signs," city officials said.

"This parking ban is in addition to the citywide year-round odd/even parking restriction on all streets."

Residents are encouraged to seek off-street parking and not interfere with snow-clearing operations, officials added, noting that any vehicle obstructing snow-clearing operations will be towed.

In addition to the parking ban, non-essential city buildings will delay opening in the morning. City Hall will open at 10 a.m. while the Callahan Center, Council on Aging and both city libraries will open at 11 a.m.

Framingham Schools Closed

Framingham Public Schools officials released a notice on Monday that classes would be canceled and all district offices closed on Tuesday.

A notice to the district read:

We are anticipating inclement weather overnight into tomorrow. The timing of the storm, the clearing of sidewalks for our more than 3,000 walkers, travel concerns, and providing advance notice for families to make any necessary childcare arrangements are important considerations when making this difficult decision. For all of those reasons, all Framingham Public School buildings will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
Before and after school programs and District offices will also be closed. Please be safe out there!
