FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham officials said a water and sewer project will need a roadway detour for work starting this week.

Starting Monday, crews will be installing new water and sewer mains between the Beaver Dam Brook Bridge and Waverly Street. All work will take place during the day, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The work will continue through next week, city officials said.

"Due to the narrow width of the road, it is not possible to safely permit traffic through the construction zone," officials said.

The same detour pattern will remain in place, directing vehicles via Taralli Terrace to Second Street.
