Framingham Director of Family and Community Engagement Leaving

School starts a week from today for Framingham Public School students.

Framingham Public Schools Director of Family and Community Engagement, who also oversees the Parent Information Center, is leaving.

Magaly Sanchez, who was hired by Superintendent of Schools Stacy Scott, started working for the district in July 2014.

Framingham Patch has learned she gave her notice this week and did not attend the administrator’s retreat on Tuesday.

Dr. Scott told Framingham Patch he has yet to name an interim and hopes to announce at the end of the week.

No one is answering the phone at the Parent Information Center this morning. Voice mail has picked up all morning.

Scott said the Center is screening new students and holding meetings with parents so the phone is not always manned.

Framingham Public School students in grades 1-12 return to class a week from today.

Scott said the “Cameron VP will be helping through the heavy registration season.”

Sanchez was hired in Marlborough as Kane Elementary Assistant Principal in 2011. She is a former Fall River assistant principal and Providence, RI schools’ district office administrator.

Charles has since left the district to take a job in Somerville, Scott said.
