Framingham First Announces 7 Community Forums

The organization also launched a survey on structures of government and thoughts on the town's public schools.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - Framingham First launched an online survey and announced several community forums in March, before the Town of Framingham election on March 29.

In 2015, Framingham First collected 5,660 certified signatures to get a question on the town's ballot.

On March 29, Framingham Voters will be asked if they wish to form a Charter Commission to study and possibly change Framingham’s form of government.

Framingham First's survey covers a range of topics, including Framingham’s public schools to potential structures of government.

The public is invited to participate at www.surveymonkey.com/r/framinghamfirst-survey.

“It is time to have a honest conversation about the future of Framingham,” said Dennis Cardiff, a Framingham First board member. “The survey and community forums give us the chance to facilitate this important conversation with the community.”

Besides the survey, Framingham First has scheduled community forums to give voters a chance to learn about the Charter Commission process and hear from any of the 26 Commission candidates, who attend the forums.

The forums are:

  • Thursday, March 10 at Wilson Elementary
  • Wednesday, March 16 at the Elks Lodge
  • Thursday, March 17 at Brophy Elementary
  • Monday, March 21 at Heritage House
  • Tuesday, March 22 at Wesley Church
  • Wednesday, March 23 at Stapleton Elementary
  • Thursday, March 24 at La Cantina Italiana restaurant
