“MassDEP realizes that it is no easy task to keep up with the ever-evolving federal and state drinking water regulations. While most systems strive just to comply with the regulations, your system has put forth an extra effort for many years,” stated Yvette dePeiza, MassDEP Program Director for the Drinking Water Program in the award letter to the City, in a statement.

Blake Lukis, Director of Water and Wastewater accepted the award on behalf of the City. “This accomplishment is only possible as a result of the extraordinary work performed by the men and women of the department," he said in a statement. "Providing quality water and service to the City of Framingham is our number one priority and is exemplified in this achievement.”
