Framingham High School Foundation Gets $50K From Middlesex Bank

The money will be used to support extra-curricular activities, arts and athletics at Framingham High School.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—The Framingham High School Foundation (FHSF) announced recently that it received a $50,000 gift from Middlesex Savings Bank. The support will benefit the more than 2,100 Framingham High School students in activities, arts and athletics with much needed items or travel that enhance and support student participation in extra-curricular activities.

Some items the Foundation has supported recently are championship travel, gym wall pads, wrestling mat

sling, Athletic Wellness Center ice machine, refrigerator and microwave, LGBTA literacy materials, Poetry
Slam and Writers Conference entrance fees, Robotics equipment, Culinary Club supplies, library materials,
pitching machine for both baseball & softball, transportation to competitions for various clubs and teams,
marimba and drum major Podium for the marching band, according to the announcement.

The grant, said the release, expands the support that FHSF can provide.

“Middlesex Savings Bank has great respect for the education foundations in our community,” said Michael
McAuliffe, president and CEO of Middlesex Savings Bank, in a statement. “They work hard to support projects and programs that foster learning and creativity. We hope these donations will make their jobs easier this year and are excited to see their existing academic programs flourish or new ones come to life.”
