Framingham Hires Access Compliance Officer

The position is intended to serve as a resource to commercial applicants preparing plans in advance of applying for a building permit.

Mark Dempsey of Framingham has been hired as the Town of Framingham’s new Access Compliance Officer in the Inspectional Services Division, said Framingham Town Manager Bob Halpin, to Selectmen Tuesday night.

“This position was funded in the fiscal year 2016 operating budget and is intended to serve as a resource to commercial applicants preparing plans for building improvements in advance of applying for a building permit as they consider compliance with state building code and access requirements during plan development,” explained Halpin.

Dempsey has worked as a compliance officer at the Architectural Access Board itself since 2004.
