Framingham To Host Summer Concert, Movie Night This Week

Bowditch Field will play both concert venue and outdoor movie theater this week. Here's what to know.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The city's Summer Movie Night and Concert will return this week at Bowditch Field.

Framingham has scheduled the event for Friday, with The Hip Swayers performing a concert from 6 to 8 p.m.

At dusk, the city will screen the movie "Home" during a free movie night.

This year Parks & Recreation is combining the tradition of Friday Night Concert with the annual summer movie night.

The city's event will feature a sensory-friendly tent, part of a partnership with the ABA Centers of America. It will feature a quiet, sensory-friendly space for guests "who may need a break from the excitement," officials said.

Refreshments will also be available at the event, including offerings from the Lions Club, Boston Events Food Truck, Kona Ice and Eastleigh Farms.

"Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, family, and friends for this free event celebrating the end of summer with great music, a beloved movie, and plenty of community spirit," city officials said.
