Framingham Man Charged In Fatal Stabbing Of Wife: Police
Neiriane Pereira-Da Silva, 30, of Framingham died as a result of multiple sharp force injuries, according to the medical examiner's office
FRAMINGHAM - A Framingham man was charged on Monday in the fatal stabbing of his wife at the couple's home Sunday night.
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Framingham Chief of Police Lester Baker confirmed in the joint statement that Edvardo Gomes-Da Silva, 40, of Framingham has been charged in connection with fatally stabbing his wife, Neiriane Pereira-Da Silva, 30, of Framingham at their Taylor Street home Sunday night.
At approximately 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, Framingham police received a 911 call from a multi-family home on Taylor Street, according to the statement. The caller reported that they had observed blood on the stairway to the third floor of the building and were concerned someone might be in need of assistance inside that apartment.

Upon arrival, police located the husband and wife both suffering from apparent stab wounds. Pereira-Da Silva was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. Gomes-Da Silva was transported to a Boston area hospital where he remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The preliminary investigation, according to the statement, suggests that the defendant allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times before injuring himself with the knife. An autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner today determined that Pereira-Da Silva died as a result of multiple sharp force injuries.

The arraignment in this matter has not yet been scheduled.
This is an open and ongoing investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office and Framingham Police.
The prosecutors assigned to this case are Joseph Gentile and Maren Schrader. The victim witness advocate is Lesia Schymonowytsch.
