Framingham Man Seriously Injured In Sherborn Moped Crash
A 58-year-old man was flown via medical helicopter to UMass Memorial Medical Center after sustaining injuries when his moped swerved off of North Main Street in Sherborn and hit a stone wall Sunday night.

A 58-year-old Framingham man was flown from Sherborn by medical helicopter to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Sunday night, after sustaining serious injuries from a moped crash.
Washington Gomez, of Framingham, was riding on North Main Street when his moped swerved off the road to the right and struck a stone wall, according to Sherborn Police Sergeant David Bento.
Gomez was assisted by Sherborn medics and paramedics from Framingham before being taken to the medical helicopter landing zone near Pine Hill Lane in Sherborn.

“He, according to the witnesses, went out of control but they don’t know why and apparently they weren’t able to get any information from him at the scene,” Bento said.
According to Bento, Gomez was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The call came in at 6:26 p.m. on Sunday for a motor vehicle crash at 86 North Main St. in Sherborn.
