The Framingham Mayoral Election: Post Election Updates from the Geoff Epstein Campaign
This is the first of a series of updates.

This morning, I conveyed to the Mayor the following message:
“Congratulations on winning a second term.
It was a good battle and I was happy to see you addressing the education and environmental issues.

I remain convinced that moving the pension liability payoff date from 2030 to 2040 is the only fair way to address the $200 million water & sewer problem.
I also think that if you wish to solidify an education legacy, an essential move would be to return the $18 million to the schools, to fully fund pre-K for all 4-year-olds, boost classroom aide pay by 20%, and make sure driver pay is good enough to ensure no more late buses.

Given your commitment to environmental action, I do hope we will see a full court press on installing solar roofs and solar canopies at schools and other municipal properties before the 2027 deadline.
I also hope that there will be no further attempts to support J&Co developing the Edmands/Edgell parcel with high density housing.
Should that occur, I think that the loss of support on the northside would be so severe that the debt exclusion for the southside school would fail, especially as in that plan Nobscot would lose their neighborhood school.
I remain happy to discuss any of these issues, or others raised in the campaign with you, to move Framingham forward.”
