Framingham School Security Director On Leave

The director was placed on leave after criminal charges surfaced. An arraignment date in the case is set for November.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A Framingham Public Schools employee has been placed on paid administrative leave and faces charges following a Thursday arrest.

Eugene Scott Penrod, 59, faces charges of domestic assault and battery. The case is scheduled for arraignment on Nov. 17.

MetroWest Daily News first reported the story, confirming with district officials that Penrod is "out on paid administrative leave pending an investigation."

Penrod serves as the director of safety and security for the school district, a role he's held since 2018.
