Framingham Second Street Water Main Replacement Underway
The project began this week and will continue over most of the next two months. Detours will be in place.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The City of Framingham continues to improve your water system for your personal and the community’s benefit.
As part of the Infrastructure Improvement Program, the City of Framingham is upgrading about 1,200’ of water main on Second Street between Beaver Street and Taralli Terrace as well as Taralli Terrace between Second Street and Beaver Park Road.

This is phase 1 and the remainder of Second Street will be completed in future phases.
The City of Framingham’s utility contractor, Russo Bros, will be performing this work.

This work is scheduled to begin during the week of August 12, and will continue for approximately 8 weeks.
The limits of work for this phase is on Second Stret from Beaver Street to Tarelli Terr and on Tarelli Terr from Second Street to Beaver Park Road. This work is going to require Second Street and the short piece of Tarelli Terrace to be detoured to Beaver Park Road.
The work zone will be impassable when digging water main during the hours of Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Police details will be on site to facilitate traffic.

Eventually, Second Street is scheduled for a roadway reconstruction and sidewalk upgrades.
