FRAMINGHAM, MA — News anchor Latoyia Edwards will provide the keynote speech at the 2025 Framingham State undergraduate commencement ceremony in May, the university announced this week.

Framingham State will present Edwards with an honorary doctoral degree during the undergraduate ceremony, which is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, at the DCU Center in Worcester.

Edwards joined NBC10 Boston and NECN as a morning reporter, arriving from WWLP-22 in Springfield, Massachusetts, where she had been a weekday anchor. During her tenure, she has worked as a health reporter, weekend anchor and evening news anchor before landing in the morning news anchor slot alongside Raul Martinez and Matt Noyes.

“Ms. Edwards has been a trusted and celebrated voice in New England for more than two decades,” said Framingham State University President Nancy Niemi. “Her inspiring journey, commitment to community engagement, and dedication to storytelling as a vehicle for making connections, resonate deeply with our mission to empower students to lead with purpose and integrity.
