Framingham Youth Police Academy Is Accepting Applications
Topics include criminal law and procedure, CPR/first responder training, team building, drug recognition, firearms simulator, and more.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - Framingham police announced that the department is currently accepting applications for its second Framingham Youth Police Academy class running from July 25th-29.
The Framingham Youth Police Academy is a program for high school students that mimics a full police academy, with concentrations on community policing, discipline and fun.
Academy topics include criminal law and procedure, CPR/first responder training, team building, drug recognition, firearms simulator, K9 demonstration, and more. Students participate in physical training each morning.

The program is held from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Framingham residents who are entering 9th–12th grade in the Fall of 2022 may apply. Non-residents who are attending a high school in Framingham may also apply. Applicants must be under age 18 prior to the start of the academy.
Youth may apply via the department's Facebook page or pick up an application from the Framingham Police Station lobby at 1 William Welch Way. A limited number of seats are available so students are encouraged to apply early.
