Framingham's Best Moms: Spoorthy Kanakamedala

"I really need you to help me grow up, mom!"

FRAMINGHAM, MA—We reached out weeks ago asking readers to tell us: "who's Framingham's best mom?" As it turns out, Framingham's got a lot of great mothers.
Leading up to Mother's Day, we're going to feature and share some of the best "Patch Mom of the Year" nominations.

Today, we feature Spoorthy Kanakamedala, nominated by her two-year-old daughter Anshika Nunna.

"This is a great way to recognize the amazing moms in the world and all that they do to keep their family together," said Raj Nunna, Anshika's father.

What makes your mom extra special? Thank you for picking up my socks, building blocks, bouncy balls, crayons, shoes, clothes, books, teddy bears, hair clips and all the things I leave everywhere around the house. I know you spend a lot of your day just picking up the things I left around between coming home from day care and going to bed. Thanks for cooking for dad and me. It takes a lot of time and energy. Thanks for teaching me to do a lot of things myself; and for teaching me to tie my shoes, get dressed on my own and use a real cup with no cover! I really need you to help me grow up, Mom! Mom, thanks for driving me all over the town to all the kids events. I know I couldn’t do all these fun things without you. I love when you hug me when I come home. Thanks for reading with me and for making me read even when at odd hours. You’re the best, Mom!

Why do you feel your mom deserves the spotlight? My mom is always there for me when I need help with something and works hard. Also mom is very patient and supports me in whatever I do. I love you. Thank you for loving me in all the ways that you do.
