Framingham's Sousa Garners Labor Endorsement In State Rep Race

FRAMINGHAM, MA - Priscila Sousa, chair of the Framingham School Committee and an entrepreneur, on Wednesday announced her endorsement by the Massachusetts AFL-CIO for State Representative of the 6th Middlesex District.

“We are proud to support candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to the values and principles of the labor movement,” said Steven Tolman, President of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO. “I would like to congratulate you on earning the endorsement of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO and our nearly half a million members across the commonwealth.”

“Our working men and women are the heart of Framingham," Sousa said. "I am honored to receive the support of Massachusetts’ largest labor organization. Our residents deserve a state representative who is their champion on the critical issues of being paid a fair living wage, the right to organize, and who will stand with them in the fight for economic, social and racial justice in the workplace and our Commonwealth."

This announcement follows her endorsements by the Framingham IAFF Local 1652 on Monday and a June endorsement by the Carpenters Local 336.
