Hearing On New 'Pawn Shop' License: Framingham City Council
A new shop selling new, used and traded goods is headed for Union Ave. It's among the items on the Framingham City Council agenda.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—A new pawn shop is opening up in Framingham, pending a public hearing and fire prevention inspection of the premises.
Roman Vynnytskyi plans to open Golden Circle at 22 Union Ave.
The public hearing is being held as part of the Framingham City Council meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. at the Memorial Building.

Vynnytskyi formerly managed a similar "buy-sell-trade" store called Cash Point in Falmouth, and wanted to branch out on his own.
"I was running whole store on my own," he wrote in a letter to City Council. "During this time I have learned all aspects of this business, gained experience, knowledge and confidence. I currently good amount of inventory to fill the store at beginning of this operation."

The store, he said, will offer services such as laptop, cell phone and jewelry repair, on top of selling used and new items, and negotiating trades. Items in the store include sound equipment, sports equipment, musical instruments, tools, cell phones and TVs.
Other City Council agenda items include discussion of a long range strategic plan for the library and a discussion on the city's recycling.
