On Monday, Framingham police say they received more than 25 reports within an hour of scammers who pretend to be from the IRS and demand payments, and often issue threats that the recipient may be arrested. If you get a call from the "IRS," just hang up. If you owe money to any official agency, they will send you documents and it would not a computer generated phone call, remind police. On Monday, Framingham police say they received more than 25 reports within an hour of scammers who pretend to be from the IRS and demand payments, and often issue threats that the recipient may be arrested. If you get a call from the "IRS," just hang up.
