MA Senate President Spilka's Health And Wellness Fair Returns For 2023

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Massachusetts Senate President Karen Spilka is bringing her annual 55+ Health and Wellness Fair back for 2023.

Spilka, an Ashland resident, is set to host the fair for everyone in the MetroWest over 55 on Oct. 14 at Keefe Regional Technical School, 750 Winter St., in Framingham.

The fair is free and open to all MetroWest residents, including those ages 55 and over and their family members. People planning to attend can register in advance, which guarantees them a space for lunch and workshops. To do so, click here.

“We know that when people have the opportunity to stay active and connect with their community, they also have the opportunity to thrive, regardless of age,” said Spilka.

“I’m thrilled to bring the community together again for my 55+ Health and Wellness Fair, so that our residents can get active, connect with friends, find the resources they need, and have some fun.”

The fair will offer resources, workshops and activities focused on all aspects of wellness, according to a news release.

Attendees will have access to more than 60 exhibitors with information on a range of topics including mental health, healthy cooking, fraud and scam protection, demystifying Medicare and other topics.

Workshops and health offerings will include fitness and music activities, free health screenings, flu shots and more. The program will include live music, free prize drawings, and free breakfast and lunch.

Spilka has held an annual health and wellness fair in the fall for over a decade. Originally named the Senior Health & Wellness Fair, last year the event was renamed Senate President Spilka’s 55+ Health and Wellness Fair.
