FRAMINGHAM, MA — MetroWest Medical Center announced that Addie Gibson, Director of Hospitality, has been honored by Tenet Healthcare as part of its annual recognition program. Addie has been named a Tenet Hero for her outstanding contributions in 2023. Her coworkers and family gathered to celebrate her award!

The Tenet Heroes program celebrates those individuals who make a meaningful impact within their communities and go above and beyond their daily responsibilities. Nominated by leadership and/or fellow colleagues, Tenet Heroes exemplify the company’s core values and commitment to its mission.

Addie has provided 21 years of service as a MetroWest Medical Center employee. For many years prior to this, Addie worked at MetroWest as a contracted food service employee. She has consistently focused on initiatives and services to provide a positive patient experience at MWMC. As an example, with oversight of food and nutrition services, Addie includes a celebration of events (community / holiday) and cultural diversity in patient menus and employee offerings. In the absence of a Chaplain, Addie also maintains both chapels to ensure patients, visitors, and staff can have a meaningful and peaceful experience.

In 2023, Addie expanded her scope to include active community engagement in the role as the Community Liaison for MWMC. Addie participates with energy, positivity, and a commitment for promoting healthcare services in community events. Her advocacy and commitment of support at these events fosters positive collaboration with our community.
