MetroWest YMCA Campers Help The Diaper Project
MetroWest YMCA campers chose "The Diaper Project" at a Place to Turn as a community service project.

Campers at the MetroWest YMCA in Framingham chose “The Diaper Project” at a Place to Turn as a community service project.
Having seen the statistics that several thousand families in the Natick and Framingham area qualify for WIC, a federal food and nutrition program, but that WIC and “food stamps” cannot be used for diapers, and that many babies use 6-10 diapers a day, they decided to help.
The campers collected several cartons of diapers, which were appreciated by the project coordinator, Julie Porter who spoke to campers about the importance of their project.
