More Than 10 Displaced In Framingham Fire

Two residents were rescued from a second-floor apartment and one firefighter suffered minor injury.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham Fire Department responded to a two-alarm fire at 33 Interfaith Terrace on Sunday before 8 p.m., officials said.

Firefighters rescued two residents from a second-floor apartment, including a 49-year-old and a 22-year-old woman, said Framingham Fire Chief Michael Dutcher.

Both are currently in stable condition at MetroWest Medical Center, said Dutcher, who also noted that one firefighter sustained a minor injury during the response.

More than 10 people were displaced by the fire, and the Red Cross is on scene assisting those affected, said Dutcher.

Though the fire was contained to a single unit, seven units sustained fire or smoke damage.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
