More MBTA Adjustments Coming To Framingham Line This Month

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Additional service changes are coming to the Framingham/Worcester Commuter Rail Line this month as part of an ongoing project, the MBTA announced.
Service will be suspended on the line between Framingham and South Station beginning around 11 p.m. on June 20 through June 22.
This service change is in place due to work taking place on MassDOT’s Newton-Weston Bridge replacement and rehabilitation project, officials said.

"Community members aiming to travel to and from downtown Boston during the weekend work are strongly encouraged to utilize the MBTA’s shuttle bus alternatives," officials said. "Major traffic delays are anticipated for motorists on portions of I-90 and I-95/Route 128."
Free shuttle bus service will replace train service between Framingham and Riverside on the Green Line D branch during the weekend. Shuttle buses will serve Framingham, West Natick, Natick Center, Wellesley Square, Wellesley Hills and Auburndale with a connection to Riverside.

An additional free and accessible shuttle bus service will operate between West Newton, Newtonville, Boston Landing and Kenmore where riders can use the Green Line B, C and D Branches, officials said.
