That was a conversation between the Patch edit and photo team when choosing a picture to pair with this story, and it should signify to readers and future viewers of the new "Ted" prequel that, although the talking teddy bear is younger, not much has changed.

Yes, the stoned teddy bear from Massachusetts is returning to screens this winter, with a prequel to the two "Ted" movies set to begin streaming on Peacock starting Jan. 11.

In the prequel, Ted and John — this time played by Max Burkholder — are high school-age kids in Framingham.

The two try to navigate their teenage years after Ted's brush with fame.

Seth MacFarlane is also back, serving as writer, executive producer, co-showrunner and director on the series.

The official trailer can be viewed below, but the best marketing for the series probably came by way of an appearance from "Ted" in multiple videos produced by the Boston social media creatives from It's Content.
