UPDATE: Second Suspect In Framingham Shooting Arrested: Police

Tiago Xavier, 18, of Framingham, was arrested Friday afternoon and will be arraigned Monday

FRAMINGHAM, MA - A second arrest was made Friday afternoon in a double shooting case at a Framingham McDonald's, Framingham police announced Friday evening.

Tiago Xavier, 18, of Framingham, was arrested Friday afternoon, according to police department spokesperson Lt. Rachel Mickens. He will be arraigned on Monday on charges of assault and battery with a firearm; possession of firearm while committing a felony; carrying a firearm without a license; carrying a loaded firearm without license; and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building.

The first arrest in the case was made Thursday following an incident where the two were shot at a Framingham McDonald's drive-thru early Thursday morning, according to Framingham police.

Mickens confirmed Friday morning that Moises Bautista, 19, of Ashland, was arrested on Thursday. He was arraigned today in Framingham District Court on the following charges: assault and battery with a firearm; possession of a firearm while committing a felony; carrying a firearm without a license; carrying a loaded firearm without a license; and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building.

Mickens also said that police recovered a firearm in Learned Pond. The department is in the process of conducting ballistic testing.

Authorities said Thursday that two men were in the drive-thru at the McDonald's at 343 Cochituate Rd. on Route 30. Police responded at about 12:45 a.m. Thursday, where they said an 18-year-old had chest wounds and a 19-year-old suffered a leg injury.

One teen was taken to UMass Medical Center in Worcester, while the second was taken to Tufts Medical Center. The injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
