Rail Improvements To Close Framingham Roads Next Week
Here's what to know ahead of the multi-day road closures in Framingham.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Railroad track upgrades are set to close a portion of Salem End Road starting next week, officials said.
Officials said the upcoming road closures and detours are due to necessary railroad track upgrades by CSX Transportation.
The work will require road closures and detours on Salem End Road starting Aug. 5. When that work is done, crews will move on to Maple Street for track improvements.

All work is expected to be completed by Aug. 8, officials said.
Residents will have access during the closures, but all other traffic will be detoured.

Salem End Road improvements are scheduled for Aug. 5 and 6, including overnight working hours. The closure begins at 7 a.m. and the road will reopen once track and paving work is finished Aug. 6.
The Maple Street closure begins the following day, Aug. 7, at 7 a.m. It will reopen when work is finished the next day.
