Rams Defeat Regis at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

Framingham State University volleyball is 2-0 on the year and are back in action today, Sept 5. at noon against Eastern Nazarene College.

North Dartmouth, Mass. – The Framingham State University volleyball team opened the 2015 season Friday afternoon with a pair of 3-0 victories at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.

The Rams defeated Daniel Webster College 3-0 in the opening match of the day and followed that up with a 3-0 victory over Regis College.

The Rams are now 2-0 on the year and are back in action today, Sept 5. at 12 p.m. against Eastern Nazarene College and close out the tournament at 2 p.m. with a match against the host Corsairs.

The Rams defeated Regis, who had defeated UMass Dartmouth 3-2 earlier in the day, by scores of 25-23, 25-15 and 25-22. Junior Alycia Rackliffe paced the Rams with 10 kills, four digs and three blocks, while senior Annie DeLoid added nine kills. Sophomore Vicki Anderson led the way in the back row with 18 digs, while senior Danielle Girard added 11.
