Rams Football Chosen As Preseason Favorite To Win 3rd Conference Title
Framingham State University opens its season with a non-conference action at Endicott on Saturday, Sept. 5 at noon.

The Framingham State Rams are the early favorites to win their third straight Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Football Title during the 2015 season as voted on by the coaches from around the conference.
This is the first year the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season champion will earn an automatic-bid into the NCAA Tournament.
The Rams, who finished the season a perfect 8-0 in conference play for the second straight season, captured seven of the nine first place votes to obtain 63 points.

Framingham State looks to repeat their success with quarterback Matt Silva, who finished first in the league with 32 touchdowns and second in yards per game with 243.5.
Also returning for Framingham State is reining Offensive Lineman of the Year Nick Stanfield, from Everett, who was chosen by D3football.com as a Preseason All-American.

Claiming the other two first place votes is Western Connecticut State with 58 points. The Colonials finished the 2014 season 6-2 in conference play. Fitchburg State lands in the third spot with 42 points. The Falcons tallied four wins during the 2014 campaign.
Tying for fourth is Bridgewater State and Worcester State with 38 points. The Bears earned three wins in league play last season. Westfield State and UMass Dartmouth are next in sixth and seventh, respectively.
The Owls earned 32 points while the Corsairs 25 points. Westfield State went 4-4 in 2014 and UMass Dartmouth finished with three wins in 2014 league play.
Rounding out the 2015 poll in eighth and ninth are Massachusetts Maritime and Plymouth State with 20 and eight points, respectively.
