Rams Lose Home Opener to Umass Dartmouth
Framingham State men's soccer returns to action on Wednesday, when they travel to WPI.

The Framingham State men’s soccer teams fell 2-1 in their 2015 home opener to UMass- Dartmouth on Saturday at Maple Street Field.
With the loss the Rams drop to 0-2 while the Corsairs pick up their first win of the season and move to 1-0.
The Corsairs opened up scoring early in the first half when sophomore Junior Robert headed a long strike from junior Wilfred Ghanyea passed the Rams keeper into the back of the net.

The Corsiars held their lead for nearly 80 minutes until the 82nd minute when Rams senior Cory Cardeiro snuck a long strike into the corner of the net before the UMD defense was set on a free kick.
UMD answered just 1:46 later when Stephan Teixeira scored on an eerily similar play as Cardeiro to regain the lead with less than ten minutes to play. The Rams were not able to generate another legitimate scoring chance.

Junior Josh Arno made 3 saves in goal for the Rams.
Luis Carranza ) made 4 saves for UMD. The Rams outshot their opponents 17-to-15 and took 5 corner kicks the Corsairs 4.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday, September 9th when they travel to WPI for non-conference action.
